CLCB Seeking Manager/Technician for Leafcutter Bee Testing Center

The Canadian Leafcutter Bee Council is a national non-profit organization that represents leafcutter bee producers in Canada. We operate the Canadian Cocoon Test Center in Brooks, Alberta and are looking for a manager/technician.  It is a year-round part time, but seasonal full-time position.  We are looking for a self-motivated person that can handle repetitive tasks and has good communication skills. Wage will be a competitive hourly rate. On the job training will be provided. 

Duties would include: 

Accepting samples from producers and processing leafcutter bee samples for x-ray analysis 

Reading x-ray images to determine quality of leafcutter bee samples

Processing leafcutter bees to determine sex ratios 

Data entry of results and relaying reports to producers 

Bookkeeping for the Test Center 

Completing government annual returns for the non-profit organization
